2025 in Review: Moments that Matter as Vestwell Narrows the Savings Gap

Thanks to you, 2025 was a defining year for Vestwell. Over the past 12 months, we meaningfully expanded our national footprint and strengthened our role as the platform of choice for payroll providers, financial institutions, and government savings programs.

That momentum continued just last week, when we agreed to acquire Accrue 401k—bringing nearly 30,000 businesses and 350,000 savers onto the Vestwell platform in 2026. And speaking of big changes, 2025 also marked the introduction of our refreshed brand—one that sharpens what it means to Vestwell: helping more people move closer to financial security, equipping employers with better tools to support their teams, and using technology to make saving simpler and more accessible for everyone.

Product Progress

In 2025, we rolled out several major updates to Vestwell’s product suite. Some highlights include:

Multilingual: Vestwell launched the industry’s most robust multilingual savings platform, offering seamless support for 20 languages across our advisor, employer, and saver portals. Designed to reflect today’s workforce, this launch represents a significant advancement in financial access, helping more Americans engage with and benefit from workplace and personal savings programs in their preferred language.

Emergency Savings Account (ESA): Vestwell’s ESA is an after-tax savings tool that earns interest, giving employees quick access to funds without penalties or high-interest debt, so they can respond to unexpected expenses or challenges with less fear of compromising their financial futures. The new emergency savings account is offered as a workplace savings option that can easily integrate into an employer's existing benefits package or function as a standalone choice.

Vestwell Elite: Vestwell launched a next-generation pooled employer plan (PEP) designed to make it easier for businesses of all sizes to offer high-quality retirement benefits. By combining multiple 401(k) plans into one professionally managed structure, Vestwell Elite simplifies plan management, reduces fiduciary and administrative burden, and expands access to modern retirement solutions.

Partner Plus: Partner Plus is Vestwell’s retirement plan offering for growing conversion plans—combining trusted stable value options with competitive pricing and our open-architecture platform. This enables advisors to deliver more for less: a no-cost-to-employer plan, scalable participant pricing, and stable value funds from established industry providers.

Powering Partnerships

2025 was a year that yielded meaningful partnerships that helped bridge the savings gap for some of America’s most essential, yet traditionally underserved, sectors. These include:

Amazon Delivery Service Partners: Vestwell has expanded access to retirement savings for individuals in Amazon’s Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program—making it easier than ever for these fast-moving businesses to offer meaningful retirement benefits to their employees. This offering was designed to support delivery associates across the country, an industry that has historically had limited access to savings opportunities.

Wayne-Sanderson Farms: Vestwell has partnered with the nation’s third-largest poultry producer, Wayne-Sanderson Farms, to launch a new retirement savings program designed specifically for the company’s over 2,000 family farmers. This collaboration underscores a significant step toward bridging the savings gap for agricultural workers.

State Savings: Vestwell began powering 5 new state savings programs, including the New York Secure Choice Savings Program, Nevada’s NEST, Vermont 529, RISavers, and Vermont Saves.

Mile High Milestones

VEST: Earlier this year, decision makers across finance, policy, and technology gathered in Deer Valley, Utah, for VEST 2025, a forum to explore what’s next in workplace savings and wealth benefits. Hosted by Vestwell, the event brought together executives, policymakers, and innovators to examine the forces reshaping the savings industry and to explore how collaboration can expand access and improve financial outcomes at scale.

Jenny Bae Sponsorship: Vestwell partnered with its first-ever athlete, LPGA rookie Jenny Bae, to champion financial access—showcasing what the opportunity can look like when savings solutions are built for everyone. By partnering with Jenny, we aim to highlight how access to intuitive savings tools can change what’s possible for savers everywhere. And Jenny not only represents female athletes, but farmers as well. Her family runs a Wayne-Sanderson farm in Georgia which now uses Vestwell to build the stability they once thought was out of reach—a full-circle moment that brings Jenny’s story even closer to home.
